Return & Refund

Returns

For consumer purchases, we offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Different terms apply to purchases made for business, trade, professional or resale purposes, as explained below.

To request a return, simply sign in to your account, select the relevant order and choose the option to return your item. You can sign in using the email address used when placing your order; no password is required.

Under our extended 30-day returns policy, items should be returned in the same condition that you received them, unused or unworn where applicable, with any tags and, where reasonably possible, in their original packaging. You may also be asked to provide your order details or proof of purchase.

Once your return request has been reviewed, we will provide instructions on how and where to return your item. Please do not send items back without first submitting a return request or contacting us.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Cancellations

If your order has not yet been dispatched, you can request a cancellation directly from your account. Select your order and choose the option to cancel the relevant item or items.

Cancellation requests are subject to approval. If your order has already been processed or dispatched before we are able to approve the cancellation, we may be unable to cancel it. You can instead request a return after the order has been delivered.

Where your statutory right to cancel an online purchase applies, this is separate from our pre-dispatch cancellation facility and is not affected by the above.

Business, Trade and Wholesale Purchases

The consumer cancellation and extended returns provisions above apply to customers purchasing wholly or mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

If you are purchasing wholly or mainly for business, trade, professional, commercial or resale purposes, you are treated as a Business Customer. This includes purchases made by companies, partnerships, organisations and sole traders where the purchase is made for business purposes.

Business Customers do not have the statutory consumer cooling-off or change-of-mind cancellation rights which apply to consumers purchasing online. Our 30-day extended consumer returns policy does not apply to Business Customers unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

Business Customers may request cancellation of an order before it has been dispatched or fulfilled, including through our online account system where available. However, submitting a cancellation request does not guarantee that the order can be cancelled. We reserve the right to refuse a cancellation where an order has already entered processing, has been allocated or prepared for dispatch, has been specially ordered or manufactured, or where we have otherwise incurred costs in fulfilling the order.

Bulk, wholesale, trade, special-order and high-volume purchases made for business purposes are non-returnable for change of mind unless we agree to the return in writing. Where we agree to accept such a return, the goods must be unused, unopened where applicable, complete and in a fully resaleable condition.

Where a discretionary business return is accepted, the Business Customer is responsible for return carriage and we may deduct reasonable handling, restocking, administration or other direct costs associated with the return, where agreed or permitted by the terms of the transaction.

Business Customers should inspect goods promptly following delivery and notify us as soon as reasonably possible if goods are damaged, defective, incorrect or do not correspond with the order.

Nothing in this section excludes or restricts any rights or liabilities which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Goods supplied to Business Customers remain subject to applicable UK law, including relevant provisions of the Sale of Goods Act 1979.

Return postage

If an item is defective, faulty, damaged or incorrect, we will cover the reasonable cost of returning it to us.

If you are returning an item because you have changed your mind or for another reason that is not due to a fault with the product, you are responsible for the cost of return postage.

Where available, we may be able to provide a return postage label at a reduced cost. Any applicable cost will be confirmed before the label is provided and may be deducted from your refund.

Damaged, faulty or incorrect items

Please inspect your order when it arrives. If an item is defective, damaged, faulty or you have received the wrong item, please submit a return request through your account or contact us at info@tygastore.co.uk.

We may ask you to provide photographs or other information so that we can assess the issue. Where the item is confirmed as faulty, damaged or incorrect, we will arrange or cover reasonable return postage.

Exceptions and non-returnable items

Certain items may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns where an exemption is permitted by law. This may include:

  • goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised;
  • perishable goods;
  • sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken after delivery; and
  • other products which are exempt from cancellation rights under applicable consumer law.

If you are unsure whether an item can be returned, please contact us before returning it.

These exclusions do not affect your rights where an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.

Exchanges

The quickest way to receive a different product, size or variation is to return the item you have and place a new order for the replacement item.

UK statutory cancellation rights

For most goods purchased online, UK consumers have a statutory right to cancel their contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, subject to certain legal exceptions.

After notifying us that you wish to exercise this right, you should return the goods without undue delay and normally within a further 14 days.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning unwanted goods unless the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or we have agreed otherwise.

You may inspect goods as you would reasonably be able to do in a shop. We may make a deduction from the refund where the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.

If approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider to process the refund after it has been issued.

Where you exercise a statutory right to cancel your entire order, any standard outbound delivery charge that is required to be refunded by law will also be refunded. Any additional amount paid for an enhanced or premium delivery service is not refundable beyond the cost of our standard delivery service.

If you have any questions about a return or refund, please contact us at info@tygastore.co.uk.
